In line with the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programs, on Monday and Tuesday, 30 and 31 October 2023, PT Transcoal Pacific, Tbk (TCPI) participated significantly by providing support in the world education by providing scholarship assistance for outstanding students in Sangatta, East Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan Province.
This achievement scholarship was given to 3 (three) State Elementary Schools (SDN) located on the outskirts of Sangatta, namely:
1. SDN 09 Sangatta Selatan
2. SDN 12 Sangatta Utara
3. SDN 13 Sangatta Utara
This scholarship is given to outstanding students who rank in the top 10 (ten) in class 6 (six), with a total of 30 (thirty) students.
The students were given school bags, stationery and pocket money, as well as sports equipment for the school with a total value of Rs. 60,000,000,- (Sixty Million Rupiah).
In his speech, the Person in Charge of Operations (PJO) of the KPC Project, Mr. Feri Manullang, gave motivation to the selected students to remain enthusiastic about studying, excel and prepare themselves to face national exams to continue their education to a higher level.
The SDN Principals welcomed this activity, and expressed their appreciation to TCPI Management for caring and making a real contribution to the world of education, especially in East Kutai Regency, and in fact, according to information from the Principals, this activity was the first to be carried out by companies that carry out business activities in Sangatta, so the school would like to express its infinite gratitude for carrying out this activity.
This activity is planned to be carried out again in the future taking into account the condition and capabilities of the company.
