In line with the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) programs, on Thursday, September 7 2023 PT. Transcoal Pacific, Tbk (TCPI) provides support and participates in efforts to prevent stunting, especially in East Kutai Regency.
The form of support provided is in the form of providing health check-up activities and providing multivitamins and nutritious food for 500 children and toddlers as well as KEK (Chronic Energy Deficiency) pregnant women which are stored in the East Kutai District Health Service database.
The theme of this CSR activity is “PT. Transcoal Pacific Cares about Stunting for the Bright Generation of East Kutai.” with total assistance provided amounting to 120 million rupiah. This CSR activity can be carried out with the support of various parties including the Health Service, Diskominfo, Dukcapil, and the East Kutai Regency Stunting Reduction Acceleration Team (TP2S).
The location of this activity is at the North Sangatta Community Health Center.
Referring to Presidential Regulation number 72 of 2021, the acceleration of stunting reduction in a holistic, integrative and quality manner is through coordination, synergy and synchronization between stakeholders. President Joko Widodo even targets the prevalence rate to fall to 14% in 2024, which is below the WHO standard of 20 percent, and by 2030 Indonesia will be free of stunting.
Based on the results of the 2021 Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI), the prevalence of stunting in Kab. East Kutai is 27.8%. SSGI 2022, prevalence of stunting in the district. East Kutai 24.7%. which means a decrease of 3.1%.
Also attending the activity was GM HCD.GA Mr. Freddi Anshary, who represented the TCPI Directors, PJO, Site Manager and TCP Employees, was tasked with collecting data and helping distribute multivitamin aid packages to invited guests who had been recorded by the Health Office.
Meanwhile, from the East Kutai Regency government, the Secretary of the Health Service, Mr. H.M Yusuf, Msi, Chief of Sangatta Police, Danramil Sangatta, representative of Diskominfo, Head of North Sangatta District, Head of KUA Sangatta, Head of BLUD of North Sangatta Health Center, Head of BLUD of Teluk Lingga Health Center, and representatives of other agencies.
